As the Director of this 2013 Television Pilot, Mark delivered a thoroughly watchable short form sampling of this ambitious Asian/American Police Procedural Drama, destined for the TIFVA, for Brazilia Productions and Independent writer/producer Belinda Stanley.
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
As the 2nd Unit Director, Mark delivered a superb first kill for Fantastical Cinema’s widely received, Tony Todd stared, re-imagining of the Science Fiction classic, along with much of the action and all the beauty work.
Saurian
Mark’s roll as 2nd Unit Director included many stylish sequences using puppets to portray alien monster worms who have invaded Earth as well as dynamic kung fu battles and beauty shots for Fantastical Cinema’s very popular Science Fiction TV pilot staring Michael Pare’.
Hatchet
Mark’s 2nd Unit Directing on Areiscope Entertainment’s block buster first outing set the cinematic style and tone for the entire film. He delivered half the kills, a majority of the suspense and almost all the beauty for this, Adam Green’s first instalment of what will doubtless become the next great teen horror franchise, staring Robert Englund and Kane Hodder.
The Eden Formula
Mark directed the 2nd Unit on this dinosaur driven, Action/Science Fiction outing for Imageries Entertainment and Concord New Horizon Staring Jeff Fahey. This work included shooting full sized animatronic dinosaurs all over down town Los Angeles and melding these seamlessly with green screen puppets and live action, including car chases, bloody kills and major stunts.
Ray’s Gun
As the Writer, Producer, Director and Editor on this Science Fiction Channel Spec. Pilot Mark was responsible for all phases of production and direction, delivering a funny and thought provoking jewel that features compelling performances from the cast in a stylish and cinematic offering for Screaming Poodle Entertainment.
Camper Shoes Spot
Mark was both Producer and Director on Screaming Poodle Entertainment’s Spec. Commercial for Campers, a very popular Spanish shoe manufacturer.
Beano Elevator Spot
Here Mark worked both as Producer and Director on Screaming Poodle Entertainment’s Comedic Spec. Commercial for Beano, a flatulence suppression enzyme taken around the world.
Mouton Noire Spot
Stranger and Stranger, a London based Wine and Spirits design and marketing firm commissioned Mark as Writer, Producer and Director to launch their Mouton Noire brand. This featured an anti-gravity wine bottle pouring sidewise into a glass with the tag line, “I’m different.
Eau d’Mollans Spot
As the Writer, Producer, Director and Editor on this offering for Screaming Poodle Entertainment Mark created an elegant and emblematic French Spring Water advertisement, shot on location in Provence.
Plan B
As a Producer and the Director and Editor on this Horror Festival favourite Mark crafted a haunting, compelling and stylish story of Zombie revenge and redemption on a Screaming Poodle Entertainment/Barlow Pictures co-production.
Dinocroc
Mark directed the 2nd Unit on this Concord New Horizon Dinosaur-Crocodile recombinant DNA horror story with Costas Mandylor. His work included shooting full sized animatronic Crocodiles, crowd panics, car work, gun play and work with animals, and melding these seamlessly with green screen puppets and live action, including car chases, bloody kills and major stunts.
The Adventures of Dave’s Brain
As the Writer, Producer and Director on this Science Fiction Channel Spec. Pilot Mark created a highly amusing, anecdote driven comic narrative recounting the amazing life of a brain that was so bored it left it’s body behind for more exciting things. The show was shot on 2 continents and was the first outing of Conspiracy Films.
Blood Surf
Mark directed the 2nd Unit on this Duncan Regehr stared, Trymark Pictures, Tapestry Entertainment Crocodile Horror Classic set in the Philippines. His work included work with life like Crocodile puppets, miniatures, shooting with live animals and melding these seamlessly with green screen puppets and live action, including, bloody kills, explosions and major stunts as well as loads of beauty work, inserts and work with airplanes.
Kangarake Drill Instructor Spot
As the Writer and Director for Neck Down Productions Mark was tasked with delivering a comic sales tool for an Australian garden implement importer. His solution was to have a group of old women relentlessly harassed by an Ausi drill sergeant who made them clean up the yard with their rakes.
